Welcome! Please see the following work samples that I'm sharing in my quest to join AbCellera's Learning Experience Designers.

Thank you for considering what skills and experience I can bring to this role and Learning at AbCellera.

Work Sample 1

The following recordings are of my online facilitation in 2020 of a series entitled Learning for Success and a snapshot of my support of international MBA students as they began their first week of classes. As learning product lead, I designed, developed, delivered this content while coaching individual learners, educators, and mentors.

Some possible sections of interest could be:

Mindset Matters (10:11)

Challenge Response to Stress (2:12:16)

Using the ADDIE framework for instructional design, I included the following steps in the creation of this end-to-end learning program.

1. Analyse

Needs analysis and assessment requires interview and analysis to consolidate and prioritize learning objectives. To ensure that we were reflecting on the right priorities, I selected from an index of questions to consider.

2. Design

I rely heavily on Agile's design process to create content quickly and collaboratively. This program's design phase focused on creating storyboards and prototypes to communicate with stakeholders and reach design decisions. To accomplish this, I like to use software like Miro, Figma, or InDesign or -  in MS-rich environments - Powerpoint slides all following guidelines and testing available for Accessibility (like this resource called Tota11y). Please feel welcome to take a look at a an example document entitled Learning Path that helps to define the broader landscape of a series of courses or program to communicate with stakeholders.

3. Develop

During development phases, I like to encourage creation of media rich components (like video, sound, interactive animation) to be embedded into delivery content. To do this, I've used video editing software, sound recording and editing, Loom for webcasts, simple animation apps, Photoshop and Illustrator, and more. During the Learning Success program, our primary tool was Articulate and Storyline supplemented with infographic design tools where needed.

4. Implement

To implement the Learning Success programs, we used Teams for synchronous content and SCORM output for SAP and Moodle LMSs for asynchronous content. The recordings (linked above) are a snapshot of my support of international MBA students as they begin their first week of classes via Teams. As you can see, I took a non-traditional approach and facilitated content directly from Articulate.

5. Evaluate

To evaluate the success of both the program and the learners, we were able facilitate an adapted Learning Transfer Evaluation Model (LTEM) to interview individuals, conduct focus groups, collect surveys with Survey Monkey, SmartSurvey, and Google Forms, as well as access Tableau and other performance tracking tools.

Work Sample 2

As a learning experience designer in tech ed in 2022, I designed and developed this entry level content as part of a 12 week program for Corporate workplace learning. The work objective was to up-skill employees for growth into data analytics roles. Please note that due to proprietary privacy, I am sharing only a first rough draft outlining the content that I then developed in html via a custom-coded LMS.
